We all need a little love, that includes our candles too! We recommend these tips and tricks to get the very best burn experience with your candle.
BEFORE LIGHTING
To maintain quality and ensure longevity of your candle, make sure to trim the wick to 1/4" each time you burn the candle - this will ensure a clean smoke-free and even burn with each experience.
Allow the candle to burn until the entire surface has full wax melt pool — this will prevent tunneling and memory rings. Remember to keep your candle’s surface free of debris like soot and wick trimmings.
AS IT BURNS
Do not let it burn continuously for more than 4 hours to avoid overheating. Make sure to avoid drafts, vents and air currents. Always keep lit candles in view on a heat resistant surface.
Never leave unattended, keep lit candle away from children and pets only burn. Candle tin have the potential to get hot to the touch when burning, be sure to handle with care.
SNUF IT OUT
Extinguish the wick very gently with a candle snuffer - avoid blowing out your candle to reduce excess smoke. If needed re-center your wick while wax is still soft. Let the candle completely cool down before relighting.
KNOW WHEN TO LET GO
When your candles have about 1/2 inch wax left in the vessel, it's time to call it quits, clean out your wax and order your new Haus of June candle.
REPURPOSE & REUSE
Yes, you can absolutely reuse your candle vessel! You can freeze the vessel to easily pop out remaining wax and clean throughly with soap and warm water to remove residue. Reuse our vessels for paintbrush holder, tiny house plants, or keepsakes!
